Description
NoTraffic is looking for a highly-motivated Signal Optimization Engineer to join our Operations team. The Signal Optimization Engineer will be the go-to resource for facilitating the safest and most efficient movement of people and goods throughout NoTraffic deployments in North America (and beyond). This role will be instrumental in the success of the NoTraffic Optimization product. This role will be responsible for simulating, configuring, deploying, analyzing, and maintaining the adaptive traffic products that NoTraffic installs. This position will work in the Engineering Services group, which is a multidisciplinary support team that helps the entire organization deploy, support, and improve our products.
The ideal candidate will be willing to travel up to ~25% of the time. Travel may be a combination of air travel or driving to local sites within your area.
Your Day to Day will include:
- Setting up the NoTraffic Optimization system
- Working on NoTraffic Microsimulations
- Analyzing and managing traffic using state-of-the-art technologies
- Collaborating with NoTraffic R&D and Product to help develop features and product
- Provide formal, hands-on optimization training to customers or related staff from our partner distributors
- Collaborate and find solutions to traffic challenges and observations from internal and external partners
- Assist with NoTraffic Optimization design, planning and resource coordination
- Work in a cross-functional team to develop traffic signal materials such as training videos, guides, troubleshooting guides, etc.
Requirements
- Experience with a diverse set of signal controllers and cabinets
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Related Field (mathematics, physics, other engineering, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of traffic signal experience (design, timing, operations)
- Ability to distill technical information to share internally and externally
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and languages, including Python, SQL, JSON, etc.
